New Mold = New Jewelry

I'm trying to stay up to date on current trends with resin jewelry, and right now it seems that big hearts are in...

I bought the mold so I can finally start making those chunky heart pendants too, and I must say, I really love all the space there is to work with. I can fit so many more little things inside the mold; it's a bigger canvas.

I bought my mold from a nice lady named Cindy, from www.resinobsession.com

She sells everything and anything you could ever want when making resin jewelry.

No pictures today unfortunately. I am over halfway done with the pendants that are in the mold right now, so I don't want to spoil the surprise by taking pictures of half finished products. :P

More coming soon, promise!

Using Models

To anybody who hasn't done so already, I highly recommend hiring models to, well, model your jewelry. For one, it helps get your name out there, all over the world. For example, a lovely lady named SugarPIE models for me from Portugal. Most of the people I find to model for me don't ask for money, but just to keep whatever jewelry it is that they model. If you ask me, it's so worth it!

Here are some pictures SugarPIE took for me a while back. Enjoy!

A creative slump...or just plain lazy

Lately I haven't been motivated enough to work on my little shop. I've made a few new things but I really need someone to give me a good kick in the ass so I can make some new things.

I started using letter beads in my jewelry, and I think they turned out very nice! However...they aren't selling. I also have access to a die cut machine. I've been making stickers and paper cutouts, and those sold on the first day! It's too bad the jewelry isn't going, I have so much more fun making those. I guess it's all in the marketing, which I am too lazy to do...

So anyway, I'm thinking about participating in a craft fair or something, just to help me get my name out there. I've been making a lot of jewelry (not all of them are on my etsy page...) and I hope to have enough things made up by spring.
